Although the Communist Party remains very present, reforms and openness have allowed the country to turn towards international engagement and controlled economic development, with numerous private and international investments, thanks to a skilled, young, and highly productive workforce.

Staff Abroad's policy is to offer working conditions that are significantly above the local average. Our social commitment is daily, with a supervisory team that takes care of its employees through regular follow-ups, technical training, and a social club that organizes outings, trips, etc. We provide state-of-the-art and comfortable facilities for Staff Abroad's collaborators. The staff turnover rate is extremely low, which demonstrates a high quality of work.

Cultural and linguistic differences can lead to misunderstandings and communication difficulties between local and foreign teams. Intercultural and linguistic training, as well as the promotion of an inclusive corporate culture, supervised by our Canadian and Vietnamese collaborators, help to minimize these risks.

Depending on the seasons, there is a time difference of 11 to 12 hours with Eastern Time. We offer great flexibility to our clients according to their needs.

Collaborators can work during standard hours, but also during certain hours that overlap with the client's business hours, or even 100% according to the schedule and location of the client.

The flexibility of the workforce offers unique perspectives for clients and allows for an activity that can cover 24 hours a day as needed.

In our business model, we offer continuous supervision in our offices in Ho Chi Minh City, which means that each collaborator is in the office every scheduled workday with the client to ensure their exclusivity and relevance for the assigned tasks.

Staff Abroad provides guidance and support to each employee through Canadian and Vietnamese leaders who have training and degrees aligned with the tasks.

To date, our General Manager of Staff Abroad Vietnam is Mr. Thanh Lam, who has over 10 years of experience in international business and supply chain management. He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Toulouse in France and an MBA from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, USA. He is assisted by Emilien Schoeb, who is the office manager in Vietnam. Emilien is a mechanical engineer by training with over 10 years of expertise at LR Tek in Montreal, Canada.

Staff Abroad employees have the same working hours as those practiced in our offices in Montreal, which is 40 hours per week and a week ending on Friday at noon (unless requested by clients). They also have a comprehensive list of benefits similar to what we offer in North America: health insurance, unemployment benefits, retirement plans, etc. They also benefit from a social club that organizes outings, trips, and meals.
 
The premises are new and equipped with the latest technical innovations to provide a unique working environment.
 
Supervision is supportive, with a management style based on collaboration, listening, and mutual assistance to optimize the performance of the collaborators.
Our team in Vietnam is based in Ho Chi Minh City for the office with client collaborators and management. They speak, in addition to Vietnamese, English, and French. The team in Vietnam is able to address HR and technical issues.
 
In Montreal, Canada, our offices house the customer service, administrative team, and general management. The Canadian team is able to address administrative and commercial inquiries.
The goal is satisfaction for all parties, both the client and the collaborator. If either party is not satisfied, a constructive discussion allows us to understand the issues, and if there is no way to find common ground, then a replacement process for the candidate is initiated.
 
The timeframe to find a new candidate is typically 1 to 2 weeks.
If the initial contract was planned for a fixed term, then it will simply end according to the agreed-upon date.
 
If the client wishes to terminate the ongoing contract for their own reasons prematurely, the legal notice period under Vietnamese labor law must be respected:
 
  • 1 month notice during the first year
  • 45 days notice beyond the first year
